Well, I am back in Kyiv and lectured 600+ very impressive medical students today. Kyiv is quiet at the moment but it’s a bit difficult at night not to listen out for air raid sirens and explosions as you try to get to sleep.

Everybody I know in Ukraine has lost husbands, sons or friends and there is no end in sight. But I don’t think anybody I know sees any point in negotiations with the Russians. They remain utterly determined.
