Continuing to be resilient was never the goal. The goal was & continues to be liberated from the oppressive conditions that force us to be resilient in the first place. What would THAT world look like?

If you think someone is “rough around the edges,” you should ask this first. Who decides where the edges are and what they should like in the first place?

"Business-as-usual" continues to push upon us thruout this pandemic. Those who work in the schools see this at intense levels lately. Despite unrealistic demands upon you, it could feel that no one else realizes it. I assure you, others realize it. Someone just has to name it.

May your journey into and thru 2022 be filled with joy, hope, well-being, radical love, & ever grounding insights on helping your process of becoming.

Denial is quite the roadblock to one’s mental health and ultimately, one’s liberation.

I had an amazing time keynoting the 46th annual conference of the Association of California Community College Administrators. This was my first in-person keynote since early 2019! It was so nourishing and invigorating to be in the space with these transformative leaders.

I feel you. Those folks have to hate on those who look like them so as to be able to take the gaze off them. In doing that, they get to continue showing whiteness that they should be deserving of their affection.
