The idea “every aspect of the support for disabled people” must “help people get into work” is deeply grim from Labour. Benefits and the NHS don’t exist to turn disabled people into economic productively units. They are to help us live well. inews.co.uk/news/politics/…

It’s genuinely impressive to create this much disappointment in a Labour government before they’re even elected.

It’s so deeply grim to see The Sun putting out the government’s propaganda, like a child in a journalist’s hat wanting daddy to like him. The word they’re looking for is “asylum seeker.”

Thank you for all your responses to this column. I know this issue deeply affects people and I’m sorry if I miss 『S』 (I try!).

“It is not simply that such ideas are unethical or demeaning – they are unworkable. Relying on the DWP to sort paperwork for a new wheelchair would be like relying on your flaky friend to book the group holiday. Sorry but no one is going anywhere.”

Disability benefit cuts that are expected to affect more than 450,000 people by 2029 will only lead to 15,400 more people finding paid work, according to official forecasts

That's about three percent of the number of people affected.

I’ll send the Tory Party a “receipt” for what I spend my disability benefits on when they send me a receipt for what they’re spending my taxes on. I’ll stop when they can be trusted not to waste it on bungs to their mates for dodgy PPE or shipping asylum seekers to Rwanda.

Disabled people having vouchers instead of cash benefits buys into the idea we are scroungers who can’t be trusted not to spend the cash on fags and booze.

When the Tories get their arse handed to them at the election, I’m spending my PIP on fucking champagne.
