As our course comes to a close for the February Term here at ACE, I wanted to take a moment to extend thanks to my students for their invaluable contribution to making it such a great experience for all of us involved. Have a great Spring Break!

This past week, my graduate students successfully engaged in learning how to provide equitable access to resources, opportunities, and support services for all students. They created a principal’s proposal to seek additional funding for an immediate campus academic need.

Good Virtual Office Hours microlecture tonight on how conducting a technology audit in a school is essential for ensuring that technology is leveraged effectively to support teaching, learning, and administrative processes while also addressing security, compliance, and budget.

Thank you so much for the recognition, Joshua Strate. It means a lot to me to know that my efforts are noticed and appreciated by such talented students like yourself.

I would like to welcome our ACE graduate students to the summer term! I am excited to embark on this journey of learning and growth with them. We will strive for excellence, embrace challenges, and support each other along the way. I had a great time meeting some of them tonight.

Thank you Ace graduate students in my Resource and Fiscal Management class for your efforts, perseverance, and the positive energy you brought this June Term. I am proud of all that you have accomplished and look forward to seeing where your academic journey takes you.

I'm excited to have taken on a new graduate course called Community Engagement and Outreach, in addition to my regular classes. I have also been teaching an AP US History Course this summer to International Students online. I'm always learning something new!

Providing weekly feedback to our American College of Education students is critical. As I sit to evaluate student work this week, I must be mindful to be specific and clear with my feedback as well as provide a balance of positive and constructive feedback.

As the summer term comes to a close at American College of Education, we celebrate the hard work and dedication of our students. This term has been filled with growth, learning, and the pursuit of campus leadership excellence. We look forward to seeing you in the upcoming term!

Starting a new term, especially online, can be daunting. An orientation helps ease students' concerns by providing them with the information and support they need to feel prepared. Best of luck to all of our students this term!

As we wrap up another fantastic term here at ACE, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to each of my students in the Resource and Fiscal Management graduate classes. Your hard work, insights, and dedication made these classes a very good learning experience for all of us.

Throwback Thursday! SHS Pep Rally 2018. As a principal, I always felt Friday morning Pep Rallies set the tone for a positive rest of the day. Current and future principals, kids need this! Miss Friday Nights in Texas as a principal for sure.

Thinking back to my days as a principal… This week’s discussion question for my graduate students at ACE sparked a powerful memory: how our campus team made it a priority to intentionally welcome new teachers each school year.

This week’s campus operations discussion with my students reminded me of a special moment in my leadership journey, the opening of a new high school in Seguin. While the excitement of a new building is unforgettable, having strong safety and operations plans is critical.

Our September 2025 term is officially underway at American College of Education! After kicking things off with course orientation, our future campus leaders are already diving into research on their state’s Educator Code of Ethics and how it shapes their profession.
