Thrilled for my research team who have arrived at Casey station in #Antarctica and are soon to head out to the Bunger Hills. They’ll survey incredibly remote & isolated marine communities that live under the #seaice. This is a photo by my PhD student Jakob.

My research team & our colleagues have set up their first satellite base camp in the Bunger Hills region. Next step is to drill small holes through the sea ice and survey the marine life below. #Antarctica #Marine #ecology #fieldwork

I’ve never seen so many fish under the #seaice! The first video footage from my team who are working at a remote satellite camp in the Bunger Hills region of #Antarctica. Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) are deployed through small holes in the ice. #Marine #ecology #fieldwork
