I'm just thrilled that Barack Obama selected "Of Boys and Men" for his summer reading list. I got so into the issue that I created the American Institute for Boys and Men to do more of this work: check out aibm.org
IMO: Instead of Project 2025's plan to remove the ACA mandate that women get condoms for free, build on that policy by also covering condoms purchased by men and vasectomies. Richard V. Reeves has a great article about this. ofboysandmen.substack.com/p/condoms-are-… 2/2 Trump Vance

There is also a healthy debate about the fact medical research has biased male participants/rats for decades. I revert to DrDerekMGriffith notion that men have been an “absent presence”. They have clearly not wholly benefitted from this bias & it avoided the role of their gender.
A final idea stems from women commenting that the increasing gender mortality gap is a sign that the patriarchy is finally dying. This seems counterintuitive since we know Movember USA that men getting sick early and dying young has profound impacts on women and children.
The fact that Richard V. Reeves like all of us in the field has to clarify that we don’t want funds diverted from women’s health (obviously!) but that this is a significant societal burden in its own right shows how much work we have to do to make men’s health a bipartisan concern.
