If you stop and reflect on how far these kids have come… you're likely to have a room full of kids who have made significant progress. 👏👏👏

I used to spend a little time after Spring break reminding students how far they had come —based on the goals or objectives. “Can you do x now, which you couldn’t have in the beginning of the year?” For example. Then I would ask what they wanted more practice on.

Kimberly Isham For our class goal, I only do it with English class, we write them on chart paper and set goals together each quarter.
You could easily have them do it on a piece of paper. We call it “Our Reading Lives”. I think it came from a PD book. (Reading Strategies?)

Sorry I missed the chat this morning, but I’ve enjoyed reading all of the ideas to finish the school year strong. My classes will end the year with a personal narrative unit.
