This is an amazing young man. I’ve been following Henry since he was a fifth grade mathlete Whitlow Elementary and now he is the STAR student and president of Mu Alpha Theta SouthForsythHS. Tonight, he helped inspire so many young Forsyth County Schools mathletes at our Math Kangaroo USA contest.

Over 300 ⁦Forsyth County Schools⁩ students got to participate in the ⁦Math Kangaroo USA⁩ international contest today. We’ve hosted 31 math events this year alone and not a single one would have been possible without the support of our incredible high school volunteers.

Thrilled to see so much evidence of our Forsyth County Schools strategic plan & K-5 math vision in action at Matt Elementary, SilverCityES, Midway Elementary, & New Hope ES. Great Minds may provide us with high-quality curriculum, but our dedicated teachers & coaches make all the difference!

My favorite Forsyth County Schools math competition goes down tomorrow morning SouthForsythHS - the 14th Annual Pi Fight!

What a day! 260+ kids engaging in problem solving and critical thinking at the 14th Annual Pi Fight. We have NEW champions - Big Creek Elementary and South Forsyth Middle and we even had 4 PERFECT SCORES from 6th graders.

Today, 45 students from Georgia across grades 3-6 qualified for mathleague.org Nationals in Houston, Texas; 33 of these students are from Forsyth County Schools! We will be bringing a small army of mathletes to University of Houston on June 15 2024! Thank you to our coaches for supporting these students!

Honored to have 18 Forsyth County Schools students in grades 1-11 recognized at the Atlanta International School for ranking in the top 10 nationally and/or top 3 in Georgia on the Math Kangaroo USA international competition. Let’s go, FCS mathletes!!!

Working at central office without kids can sometimes feel lonely. Been missing the vibrant energy of schools lately. There's something magical about being surrounded by kids like these New Hope ES who flagged me down to just talk about how much they love math & Beast Academy.

Yesterday, we hosted 17 Forsyth County Schools families for mathleague.org Nationals training at our house. After 3 hours of working, we were treated to some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had and enjoyed some fun at the pool, too. Only 12 more days until University of Houston!

Massive rainfall & power outage couldn’t stop 12 Forsyth County Schools mathletes from putting in the work yesterday evening to train for the mathleague.org National championship University of Houston. They loved playfully creating questions for each other to practice what we have been learning together.

We are off to mathleague.org Nationals University of Houston with 16 other Forsyth County Schools families. We have trained hard and we are ready to represent the state and district well!

I am extremely proud of my son, Kellen, who just won 3rd place at the mathleague.org International Championship! He has been training in competition mathematics since 2nd grade and for him to earn this achievement means everything!

Middle school teachers exploring AoPS (Art of Problem Solving) e-books through randomized groups & vertical thinking spaces. They selected their favorite challenging math problems from pre-algebra, algebra, number theory, & counting/probability & are eager to begin using this for differentiation!🤘

Matt Elementary launched a rebranded innovative curriculum night that featured fun & games to boost attendance & it worked! 907 people (students, parents, siblings, grandparents, cousins, aunts & uncles) in attendance last night as we flexed our math thinking skills in the cafe!
