Had the pleasure of attending a lecture by Nobel laureate and Johns Hopkins Medicine Professor Dr. Gregg Semenza on the discovery of #HIF-1. HIF-1 is expressed widely in cells in responce to hypoxia and plays an important role in the pathophysiology of CVD, retinopathy, and cancer.
