A great session unpacking some maker concepts with Ben Laybourn yesterday. #TLIF #CoreBeliefs #MakerPedagogies
How cool is this... Shaun made this to show how his thinking has changed... the person on earth can jump up and down 5cm... the moon astronaut can jump up and down 30cm because the moon has 6x less gravity! Douglas Park School
During our TLIF journey we have gone through lots changes in the Ss independent making. Most recently they have been making to solve a problem. We have decided to change it up each week & this week; they get to make for the sake of making. Excitement levels are high! Douglas Park School
As the project nearing an end, today was time for some reflection; how has our thinking changed, how was our practice changed and what does this mean for student outcomes? #TLIF #MakerEd Douglas Park School
We’ve spent the term setting up our core belief place mats. Ss drew a symbol to help them remember each indicator. Today we started using them! They have identified a goal to work on for the week while they work on a project around our inquiry ‘Make it better’ #MakerEd Douglas Park School
Making to develop a core belief. This week we did another #MysteryBagChallenge to help us learn about developing a plan of action; one of our agency indicators. Douglas Park School #TLIF #MakerEd
The #TLIF project is coming to an end. Awesome opportunity to discuss and reflect today. We’re looking forward to sharing the Wins, the Why and the Challenges with wider staff next week. Douglas Park School
Our 5 yos lost part of their marble run so made a cardboard part to fix it! These boys used the cardboard prototype to design and print a replacement on our 3D printer! We had some very excited people, mainly Gareth Sinton Douglas Park School
Started the Maker Wall of Fame in the Rātā team today... linked to one our creativity indicators; dare to be brave and different... These 6 excited learners are the first to feature... they were so pumped, especially with the added incentive from Shaun Harkness Douglas Park School
