Members of our flood team met up with Sussex Search and Rescue at the weekend to revalidate their DEFRA Mod 2 Flood First Responder qualifications. Congratulations to the members who are now able to respond and search for missing people in flooding and water based incidents.

Congratulations to Angela Burgess who passed out as a fully qualified Tier 2 crew member on Whitstable’s Atlantic 85 lifeboat. Angela was tested in both theory and afloat including a policies and procedures such as firefighting, radio procedure and maritime regulations.
