Pesach is a time to reflect on the meaning of freedom.

For my great grandma, Lily Ebert, a centenarian Auschwitz survivor, it holds deep meaning.

This year, we celebrate with heavy hearts, leaving an empty seat for the 133 hostages.

Wishing everyone a meaningful Pesach ❤️

Tonight as we gather around the Seder table we will leave a chair empty, to raise awareness of the 133 Israeli hostages who will not spend Passover with their loved ones 🪑.

We cannot fully celebrate the Festival of Freedom while our loved ones are in captivity.

The true test of post Holocaust emancipation was whether Jewish students could safely and freely learn on university campuses, like all other students.

We have failed in this test.

Scenes reminiscent of the 1930s have unfolded on campuses globally.

Shameful.

Today is April 7th, yet it still feels like October 7th—one long, continuous nightmare.

Six months of mourning, grief, pain, calls to #BringThemHome , hatred against Jewish people around the world, and silence against that hatred from so many.

Six months. Half a year 💔

In the purim story, Jews were deemed for extinction. However, the Jews persevered and survived.

Today, I celebrate purim with my great grandmother, Lily Ebert, a 100 year-old Auschwitz survivor.

Neither Haman, Hitler nor Hamas can break our spirit. Happy Purim ❤️

Today, I met Itay Regev, a former Israeli hostage, freed 3 months ago, after 50+ harrowing days in Gaza.

He asked one thing: that we all continue to use our platforms and voices to speak up for all the hostages, including his friend Omer.

We mustn’t forget or give up on them.
