We have grave concerns about the recommendations of NICE guidelines on induction. It adopts a clinical and short term lens, and downplays evidence about women and birthing people’s experience of induction, and evidence about long term impact.

Dr Mari Greenfield Shouldn't even be called 'shared' (vs 'supported') decision making. It's only the woman's to make (& live with the consequences). Legal right to bodily integrity isn't a 'right to consent or decline'. Its an assault if no consent to procedures. Doing nothing always an option

Dear UK Government, it is unhelpful to release a Parliamentary report on inequalities in maternal safety on the same day that you close the consultation on guidelines that suggest IOL for every Black, Brown, fat and lesbian woman to reduce these inequalities.
