Doesn't get much more 'winter' than it is in #Pittsburgh this morning. Frozen rivers. Light snow. Little fog. And clouds as far as the eye can see. Still, there's something that I find peaceful in fews like this that make for interesting images.

What an experience this morning. I've captured #Pittsburgh from the air plenty of times, but when the rivers are frozen over it's just so unique. I took a helicopter flight over the city with Dustin McGrew and the views were otherworldly. Cannot wait to share more.

Today I was in State College visiting family and while I didn't go to Penn State my dad (who was also in the Blue Band), brother & sister all did, so I've been going there since I was a little kid. I've captured campus many times before, but today was the first time in the snow.

The Pittsburgh skyline reflects on the fractured ice in the three rivers last night. I love how the ice looks like fractured glass! #pittsburgh

A panorama from the North Shore of #Pittsburgh last week when we had that really warm day and there were puddles all over the frozen rivers. Pretty cool how that huge crack in the ice connected the bridges as well, which you can see perfectly reflected in the puddles.

On Tuesday, April 14, 6-9 p.m., the Beatrice Institute will host an evening of poetry to honor the poet Jane Greer. It takes place at Epp Hall, The Port, in Lawrenceville (3620 Butler St, Pittsburgh, PA). Robert B. Hass, George David Clark, and Zina Gomez-Liss will be reading.

What a scene tonight in Pittsburgh as fog developed over the rivers due to the warm air and cold ice on the rivers mixing. Lots more shots to come from tonight soon! #pittsburgh

Finally getting the chance to go through some foggy images from last week in #Pittsburgh, and here's one of the more unique scenes I saw that night. The fog was so thick, but just right at river level; above was completely clear. Really gave the scene an eerie vibe.

Straight up ridiculous sunrise in #Pittsburgh this morning, as the sky seemed to light up every possible shade of pink, red and orange over the city. The West End Bridge was the perfect vantage point to see it, and while I have a ton to share, this one is definitely a favorite.

A view from long before that amazing sunrise this morning, of the moon nestled in the spires of PPG Place in #Pittsburgh. I love how you can see the unlit portion of the moon due to the earthshine as well...this is a scene that I'll never tire of capturing.

Some images from yesterday morning in #Pittsburgh when the city was lit up green for the St. Patrick’s Day parade. I love capturing the bridges when they are lit up like this, and it was a lot of fun including the blossoms as well.

Friday night was opening night for Josh‘s opera "Someplace Fun“ that explored the subject of grief before a sold-out house at The Cell Theater in Chelsea (off-Broadway). I ended up holding the flowers — even though none of them were intended for me.

On my last day in NYC we cavorted around Greenwich Village, found a yummy brunch spot, and got goodies from The Pickle Guys. Josh headed off to The Cell for Saturday matinee and evening shows while Julia and I headed to our respective homes. A most memorable and magical weekend!
