On Friday 12 January, firefighters attended multiple deliberately started fires in Eastville, Bristol. Sadly, during the response to the fire, one of our firefighters was injured, they were taken to hospital and are now recovering with their family by their side.

Tonight we're saying goodbye to Lizzie! Lizzie's leaving us after almost 5 years in control, stepping out from behind the screens to join Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service as an operational firefighter. She's been brilliant here in control and we know she's going to be amazing in her new role!

Please dispose of your lithium batteries properly. Recently, firefighters tackled around 100 tonnes of rubbish that was on fire at a waste transfer station in #Battersea. Don't put lithium batteries in the same bins as your rubbish or recycling - ask your council for support.
