Proud to represent Delaware educators at Language Advocacy Days in Washington, DC, organized by @JNCLNCLIS. As a Delaware Spanish teacher and as DE WL Teachers’s delegate to JNCL-NCLIS, I was honored to advocate for world language education on Capitol Hill. #LAD26 #JNCLInfo

One powerful idea from keynote speaker Carla Dirlikov Canales at #LAD26: “When removing the friction of language learning, we remove the empathy building that is so important in communication.” Language learning helps students understand perspectives beyond their own. #JNCLInfo

One major takeaway from #LAD26: Language education is increasingly viewed as workforce development. From diplomacy to global business, multilingual skills help prepare students for careers in an interconnected world. #JNCLInfo #DECTFL
