The Legislature's conflict of interest process leaves a lot to be desired. Members don't have to explain their conflicts & nobody can remember the last time anyone was actually recused from a vote. Freshman Caucus dropped HCR2 today which fixes our poor process. #akleg

To be clear — I stand for education. K-12, University of Alaska, workforce development. The needs have been demonstrated repeatedly. I stand for overriding these vetoes and raising the BSA. This is where I stand, and all my colleagues should be as clear. #akleg

Thanks to everyone who joined the ribbon cutting ceremony on Pine/McCarrey Street--and thanks to the rain for stopping just before! This temporary pilot project helps demonstrate the feasibility & support for protected bike lanes across Anchorage. Good things are on the horizon!
