Obviously you don't understand how equalization works. Individual taxpayers contribute to equalization through the federal taxes they pay. Everyone pays the same federal tax rates. Alberta has a high percentage of high taxpayers increasing their contributions to equalization.

This is long overdue. Employment in the public sector has been outpacing employment in the private sector in percentage term for some time and is unsustainable both from a taxation and debt perspective.
