The Dolphin Club is currently at capacity, so we’re making every effort to ensure that the club continues to work for everyone —members, both new and long-standing, as well as the general public. To that end, we're limiting new members to 10 per month. More details soon!

Almost Spring... which means Polar Bear coming to an end (40 miles for most, 20 for some, 50 to celebrate 50th anniversary for some, 60 for at least one...). First day of Spring is Walt Stack Run/Walk challenge (famous for "start slow...and taper off" amongst other things),

What do you know about the Wieland? A 40 foot, six sweep oared sliding seat lapstrake barge, donated in 1887 by club founder John Wieland's family, and rebuilt 1991-1997, we row and race this beauty on SF Bay.

VIKING: thing of beauty. Originally designed and built by two SF Cable Car carpenters, 1916ish, given to the Dolphin Club in the mid-1930's. restored in 1984 by Jeremy Fisher-Smith in Davenport, CA, it's a Club favorite.

CAThayer, Eppleton Hall, Balclutha and their moorings have left Hyde Street Pier and gone to Mare Island. Eureka is next. Alma still here, as are the smaller boats; Pier is closed for its renovation. nps.gov/safr/learn/his… tells their stories.

Saturday, Madeline Crow led the DC-SERC Quadstravaganza through howling winds and bumpy waves, onto the ergs (wild relay competition on the ergs!) and on home... Congratulations, all!
