I feel like I am almost out of the hole. Just a few more stops of hyperpigmentation left. I definitely think a decrease in stress has helped

Is there a reason why the Sickle Cell Disease research community is so cagey with the actual mutations in HGVS nomenclature? Am I missing something because Beta6Glu>Val means nothing to me and I shouldn't have to hunt this hard for c. and p. information.

Why at 18? I knew I wanted one then but I was nowhere near prepared. My decent GPA and decent SAT was combined with extensive (at the time) STEM extracurricular activities. The outside interest and experiences were more influential than my ability to test well.
