"Me? I could never grow bored of you Clara"

"I would hope not." The Doctor looked on rather hopeful but always feared something would happen to her.

"I know." The Doctor stifling a chuckle, showing a small smile before continuing. "That's not one of my worries."

The Doctor paused for a moment he wasn't one to talk about himself and wasn't sure if he should. Letting out a sigh he turns away from the console placing his hands on the railing looking down. "I just think what if something happens to you"

"The thing is I'm much less breakable Clara, unlike you." The Doctor said with a hint of sadness in his voice his tone changed.

"I don't always save the day Clara, I can't always fix things." He admits not to just her but more to himself rather.

"You don't understand Clara." The Doctor paused for a moment like he had trouble continuing. "What if it's not your choice?"

Hearing that The Doctor turned to Clara and did something he rarely did since he regenerated, he placed one hand on her cheek cupping it gently. "Every now and then I remember why you're the one standing here with me, Clara Oswald."

The Doctor cracked a small smile and also tried to lighten the mood. "Well who else is going to care so I don't have to."

"Oh not the cards Clara." The Doctor complained in a playful manner looking at her big eyes with a soft smile.

"I feel like it's a waste of time doing tho, I'm going forget them later anyway." The Doctor stood more still now feeling Clara's soft touch.

And I'm doing my part Clara, I can't be there it's not my choice.
