.@TheRealDrDukes is up next on the importance of diversity, role models, & supportive mentorship. GIVE OPTIONS, share past failures-not just the successes (helps others), make space, give access to resources. Recruitment is one thing but RETENTION is equally important! #OSSD24

Our latest on long-term effects of pregnancy on the brain is out! This is Bonnie Lee 's first paper for her PhD. In a nutshell we found that past pregnancy improves measures of “brain health” in WT but not in an animal model of increased risk for AD. authors.elsevier.com/a/1j98Z3AAzzl2…

This was a fabulous week we spent with 2-4 graders discussing the brain 🧠 and mental wellbeing while doing super fun and hands-on science and art 🎨 funded by The Avielle Foundation. The kids made amazing #FreeLittleLibrary boxes being installed in Aurora and Denver.
