Researchers from SMRU (Debbie JF Russell) and CREEM (C. Harris) went to a Cubs meeting & helped them work towards their Scientist Badge.Lots of fun w/ skulls, whale sounds, photo-ID game. Played games to show how hard it can be for animals to communicate when humans are so noisy!

One little common seal with the big pile of moulting male grey seals. High up the beach because greys like to be out of the water while they replace their fur this time of year. Means they are easy to see but also easy to disturb, so enjoy seal watching from a distance. x.com/tgojm1/status/…

How do I fit my academic job into a 37 hour week? I don’t, I couldn’t possibly because this job is impossible to do/ complete/ control. But I am not willing to give my life to it or work longer hours unpaid, so here are 10 ways I survive: 1/11

Well done University of Exeter News. Hopefully will encourage others to follow suit...here (University of St Andrews) we are still at 16 weeks full pay...and that is only if you have more than 26 weeks continuous service at the 15th week before the Expected Week Childbirth (EWC) ☹️ x.com/uniofexeternew…
