Absolutely loved this elementary chapter book by Hena Khan! The implementation of diversity was beautifully done, and Zayd was a wonderful character with a wonderful family. I cannot wait to share this special sports series with students!!

Standing in the bookstore listening to parent after parent discredit their child's reading identity. Excitement squashed by lecturing on "real reading", "real books" and "appropriate levels. Parents: If you want your children to be readers... Just. Let. Them. Read!
