Discord has discontinued the Active Developer badge. Users can no longer earn it, and those who previously had it have had it removed from their profiles.

Discord has updated the requirements for its Onboarding feature. The minimum number of required channels was lowered from seven (five of which had to be writable) to just one writable channel. Currently only available on the Canary client.

The monthly price for Discord Nitro Squads will be $25.99, making it $4.33 per person if all six slots are filled. All members will receive the same perks as the $10 Nitro plan, except for the two server boosts. Currently, there seem to be no plans for a yearly subscription.

Discord is moving their default GIF Search Provider from Tenor to Giphy and Klipy. This is due to the Tenor API shutting down in June of this year. In a new experiment, Discord is testing which provider users prefer.

Discord is expanding its age verification testing to include more regions beyond just the UK and Australia. We've confirmed that this is being tested with a small number of users in Ukraine, Austria, and Canada, however, it's likely that this is being tested worldwide.
