After reading this and watching Jonathan Foley's TED talk, it seems clear that a part of the problem is that investors fund pointless projects that appeal to the 1% but without any potential for real impact (thinking of the urban vertical farms too). ted.com/talks/jonathanโ€ฆ

Just heard on the news that up to 50% of kids in Plymouth have rotten teeth as they canโ€™t access dentists.

A situation reflected across the U.K.

Itโ€™s astonishing that 30 years ago my state school in what would have been called the โ€˜third worldโ€™ had a free dentist on site.
