2 - QA Lead - Set best practices for QA/ testing/ automation

Never in a million years did I think 21+ years of experience, multiple awards, and working on some of the biggest projects in gaming would amount to... nothing.

It's either make it to the final 2 or completely ghosted, there is no in-between, apparently.

Reminder that we are over 20K layoffs since early last year (+indies not tracked and agencies) and that teams still left behind are overloaded, including folks included in the hiring process. Shits really hard for everyone and it’s not going to stop until accountability starts.

I'm not saying I'd immediately abandon everything in existence entirely to just have a bourbon with Walton, but I'm not NOT saying it either 🫡

“But they might want different talent” - OK? So then talk to him. See if there is an internal lateral move that can be made to where a loyal employee can continue contributing to a company they love and you still get to have your new direction. I’ve been C-Suite, it’s a choice.

The biggest disease today is everyone wants to be “special”, no one wants to sit with who they are presently, honestly. Due to that, it is romanticized, idealized, and so much time is wasted chasing a constructed goal that doesn’t exist but directly shrouds YOU—which IS special.
