It’s not just Colonial Donuts which I’ve reported on far too many times in the past year…but in Petaluma my colleague covered Cambodian owned donut shop owners who has almost all of their life savings stolen.

Also, for those who ask why these businesses still take cash,

Remember 77-year old great grandma Miss Faye? She chased after a robbery suspect who was dragging an elderly woman on the ground outside her West Oakland home back in 2022. She even threw her cane at the suspect vehicle. Now she’s running for Oakland City Council!

You may remember I covered the first armed robbery of Colonial Donuts last June. The mayor went to visit, and then they got robbed

Sometimes being in news you feel like a broken record on certain things, like car break-ins. There’s this fatigue in always hearing about it, digging into data, finding a new way to present the story so the audience pays attention.

Funny story. I noticed broken glass on the ground outside a hardware store. As I got closer saw broken glass in these planters.

Of course the 1st thing I think is that it must be from car break-ins.
