We've decided to name the mountain - Mount Hawkins, for our hunter friend who brought us such a dinner.

Climbed to the top of Mt. Hawkins today with Bradley. It was a hike but from the top the view was incredible!

Look at this view down the river! We're calling this canyon Split Mountain Canyon.

We've run 3 rapids in the canyon so far today. Managed to get a quick shot from the bottom.

People ask 'Why does the Green River cut through the middle of Split Mountain when logically it should have flowed around it?'. This question also puzzled John Wesley Powell during the first scientific exploration of the Green and Colorado Rivers in 1869. ow.ly/tN5V50D5PBe
