The Australian Reptile Park has announced that seven healthy koala joeys have been born this season. Dubbed the Lucky Seven, they will work as ambassadors for their species. Koalas are on track to become extinct by 2050 at the species' current rate of decline.

The body of a man believed to be the fisherman who fell from rocks at Timber Beach in the Munmorah State Conservation Area has been located. The body was recovered around 10am on rocks off of Wybung Head on July 10th. The man disappeared on July 7th.
