Congrats to Matthew Rich for nailing his first ever talk at a scientific conference. Thanks to Biomedical Engineering Society for providing such a great venue for young scientists. @UNCNCSUBME #bmes2018
Diekman lab graduate student Michaela Copp's paper, "The combination of mitogenic stimulation and DNA damage induces chondrocyte senescence" is out in Osteoarthritis and Cartilage Journals. Free download through Jan 23 at: authors.elsevier.com/a/1cB9-3npMrO4…. Fun working with The Schnabel Lab on this!
Just watched Farsh nail his Kappa Delta talk summarizing work from The Guilak Lab on biological joint resurfacing. So grateful that this project was my introduction to research! Bradley Estes trained me and Frank Moutos always inspiring. Congrats on the award!
Don't miss the ICORS College of FIORS-organized symposium at #ORS2021 'Cellular senescence in OA' on Monday at 8:15am PT. Three amazing talks! Farshid Guilak The Guilak Lab @jhelisseeff.bsky.social Brian Diekman
Which one of these did Lou forget to include in his #ORS2021 talk? Fantastic insight into risk for ACL tears, a fedora, self-deprecating humor, Chuck Norris jokes, a cameo of his infamous Hawaiian shirt, Wookie noises? DeFrate Lab cattendee.abstractsonline.com/meeting/9235/S…
Thanks to Tristan Maerz for engaging with the chat feature during our senescence symposium! The chat will stay up since not a "live session" so others can join in when they watch later. The Guilak Lab @jhelisseeff.bsky.social Brian Johnstone cattendee.abstractsonline.com/meeting/9235/S…
