From Health Care Assistant, Student Nurse, Staff Nurse, Sister, Matron, Project Manager, Discharge Manager and now Patient Safety, has all been a blast! I think everyone who has been through or going through a cancer journey has been triggered by this news. Telling people makes it real - I wasn’t very good at letting people in because you have to face it and to have to do that publicly is heart wrenching.

#BREATHTAKING - I was a nurse, couldn’t work during the pandemic as I had breast cancer. I had so much guilt because I let colleagues down as I was shielding. I know I had to look after myself but I couldn’t do what I was trained to do. Not a nurse now but still so much guilt

Seeing Drs argue amongst themselves on here about the pay restoration and work expectations is astounding. At the middle of this are patients, having treatments delayed, and potentially dying. I generally support strikes but this is not the way. It’s terrifying!

I have supported all the NHS strikes but I do not condone this 6 day strike by junior doctors! The NHS is on its knees and we are in danger of losing it

As I prepare to come off the NMC Register I have immense respect for those working as nurses in these challenging times. Happy New Year to all my nursing colleagues and thank you!
