As Prime Minister, you can appoint almost anyone you like to be a Minister. And we’ve seen some truly outrageous appointments - mates, cronies, donors & relatives. It is such an abuse of power. To see UK Prime Minister today appointing experts in their field gives me such hope.

You cannot fix what you will not even name. Wes Streeting MP is right. The NHS is - has been - broken. Such relief to hear it stated out loud. Here's hoping for a new, more honest era in which the NHS duty of candour finally means something - and is led from the Cabinet down.
