My first Orange Tip butterfly of the year. Sadly she was missing an antenna, and being cruelly buffeted by the gale yesterday. Luckily there's plenty of food for her in the garden: Honesty, Cuckoo Flower, Garlic Mustard and Sweet Rocket. πŸ¦‹ Butterfly Conservation πŸ¦‹

Another cool, cloudy afternoon but the wild flowers in the roadside verges were such a cheerful sight. πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š

I came across some Eyelash Fungi growing on a Crack Willow log that's in a very wet pasture field. As I stooped to admire it I suddenly found I was gently sinking into the mire! Oops! πŸ˜€

I've been enjoying seeing male Brimstone Butterflies fly about the garden on sunny days. This one took shelter in a large evergreen shrub when the sun went behind a cloud. It was well hidden in there! Butterfly Conservation πŸ¦‹
