Thank you to everyone who joined us this morning to celebrate national “Walk to School Day!” Our bus riders had a chance to participate by joining our school walk around the school building to finish the walk.

A great evening at our Family Reading Night with fun read alouds and reading activities!

The Spring Dance was enjoyed by all! There were a variety of activities to choose from including dancing, Photo Booth, games and arts and craft stations. Some of our Diamond teachers enjoyed the Photo Booth! Thank you to all the volunteers for helping coordinate this event.

Congratulations to Mr. Ensley, first grade teacher, who was selected as the winner of the 2025 Shirley J Lowrie Thank You for Teaching Award. We were able to surprise him with the announcement at our school-wide assembly last week.

Students and staff members enjoyed Friday’s assembly by the Smithsonian Discovery Theater! Thank you to the DESPTA for coordinating this event.

Field Day 2025 was a huge success l! Thank you to Mr. Golden and Ms. Soderstrum for coordinating all Prek-5 activities. Thank you to all parent volunteers who helped with Field Day stations.

5th Grade Art Open House was a great turnout! Thank you to Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Russell for coordinating the fifth grade art work that was on display and revealing the 5th grade legacy mosaic art project.

Families and staff members enjoyed a wonderful International Night! We had over 40 countries represented.

Congratulations to all of the 2025 high school graduates, especially former Diamond ES students. We had a Clap Out for our Diamond alumni graduates from Northwest HS and Poolesville HS!

Our 4th and 5th graders did a great job with our Spring Chorus Concert! Thank you to Dr. Dillon. Also, thank you to Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Russell for creating am Art Show of student art work!

Our school’s leadership team spent time this summer planning for the upcoming school year. We celebrated our school data and identified areas we need to continue to improve on. We wrapped up our week with some team bonding at a local escape room.
