What a great year 2024 has been! We are sharing some of our memories before the holidays begin. In August wetland sampling on the Detroit River wrapped up, focusing on water quality, submerged aquatic vegetation and marshbird populations at different sites.

We're almost through with our 2024 recap! In October fifty native hardwood trees were planted by the Ojibway Parkway walking trail by volunteers. Funding for this project was provided by the Gordie Howe International Bridge Community Benefits Plan. Gordie Howe International Bridge

As part of our 2024 recap, we can't forget about November! The Habitat and Science and Monitoring Work Groups met to discuss the four remaining BUIs that are impaired for the Canadian Detroit River Area of Concern.

What a great year! The DRCC staff and partners are looking forward to 2025 and working together to restore the Detroit River. Happy holidays everyone!
