Coolin’ with Cops is going strong with DPD! In 2024, we kicked off with football/cheer, now in 2025, we’re with basketball/cheer, starting with UPA! We launched ‘Reading with Cops’ at Voyageur Academy with Detroit Police Department. This meaningful program allows Detroit police officers to give back by enhancing & extending students’ reading time in school. 📚

Coolin’ with Cops builds real connections between youth and police through mentorship and positive interactions. Detroit PAL & DPD visited Voyageur College Prep, sharing the ‘PAL Playbook’ to help students stand against guns, drugs, gangs, and dropping out of school.
