Join us for a winter solstice ski and stroll on Wednesday, December 21st, from 4 - 6 pm! Ski, snowshoe, or stroll on a snowy winter’s night down a trail lit by ice luminarias. The event is family-friendly and trails are appropriate for all levels of skiing or snowshoeing ability.

This time of year, direct sunlight doesn’t reach the ground at the Winter Visitor Center in Denali. The sun’s low-angled rays are blocked by the surrounding mountains. This means that on clear days, beautiful alpenglow lights up the mountainsides for the brief daylight hours.

RESCHEDULED to December 28th, 4-6 pm - Winter Solstice Ski and Stroll. With temperatures expected to be near or below -20F tomorrow, the park has decided to reschedule its Winter Solstice Ski to next Wednesday, December 28th when the temperatures are forecasted to be much warmer.
