A leading UK voiceover artist feels ‘violated’ hearing an AI version of her voice make announcements on ScotRail. The company bought the ‘Iona’ voice from ReadSpeaker, but Gayanne Potter’s told Rebecca Brady she never consented for her recordings to be used by AI…👇

Lots to say about ScotRail’s decision to sack their original announcer voice and to use GayannePotter’s AI voice (Iona) without her express consent or knowledge. #AI … great for some things, but when #ScotRail are using my friend Gayannes voice illegally, due to a company called #SpeakReader said her voice was for an e-learning project they lied to her, they stole her voice without her knowledge or payment!! 😡 Please share for justice!
