Local athletes named to the Greater Binghamton Elite 7 Girls Indoor T&F Team from pressconnects: Ethne Degan (B-G) was selected as the Athlete of the Year! Other honorees: *Dejah Taylor (Sidney, 8th grade) Sidney’s Paul Sims was named Coach of the Year!

B-G’s Ethne Degan just broke her own meet record in the 1500 at the REK Invite in Norwich. She also sets a new facility record. Ethne crosses 1st in a blazing fast time of 4:48.71. That time is 6 seconds faster than the previous record. Great job! #WCDO

Congrats to B-G’s Ethne Degan on being named the 2023 pressconnects Greater Binghamton Elite 7 Girls Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Year! Ethne was the only small school runner on the list & still has the rest of her junior & senior seasons left to compete for the Bobcats!

Top performers at the Quinney T&F Invite in Sidney: B-G’s Ethne Degan wins the 1500 (4:50.34) & 3000 (10:51.76). She breaks the meet record in both races! Congrats! I fully credit her 3000 win to my advice of not eating the rest of her giant turkey sub prior to the race 🤣😎

Congrats to B-G distance standout Ethne Degan on breaking the 14-year old school record in the 1500 with a blazing fast time of 4:41.40. She ran this at the Parkhurst Invite at U-E. New PR, 1st place in the race & a top 25 time in NYS this season. Also won the MAC 1500 today!

B-G’s Ethne Degan takes 2nd in the D2 1500 at the NYS T&F championships with a time of 4:37.39. That’s a PR, school record & NY Top 25 time this season. It also qualifies E to run the 1 mile race at the New Balance National Championships in Philadelphia in the champions division

BGAH's Ethne Degan finishes 9th to lead her team to a 7th place finish at the NYSPHSAA Class C race on Saturday! The BGAH girls inviting the rest of the Section IV Class C competitors into their pre-race team cheer was one of the classiest things I've seen!

B-G’s Ethne Degan ran a blazing fast time of 4:41.78 in the NYSPHSAA Girls D2 1500 at the state championship meet. Good for 4th in D2 & is also a season best time for Ethne! Amazing to think what E has done since she burst onto the scene in 7th grade!
