Volunteering within networks requires a lot of time researching, building relationships, and planning output.

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to present our work supporting the delivery of Defence Hindu Network - UK’s Diwali Celebrations whilst showcasing our South Asian Heritage project.

It was an amazing experience and absolute pleasure to be celebrating diwali with the members of the Defence Hindu Network - UK and other people from the wider community #HMSwarrior #porstmouth . Food, Music, Non alcohol drinks, live entertainment, fireworks 🎇 and Royal Navy band were amazing

It was a great honour and privilege for us to be invited by the UK PM, The Rt Hon Rishi Sunak, to celebrate Diwali at UK Prime Minister along with many more prominent Hindu figures from across the country and all walks of the British society.

Last week DHN celebrated Raksha Bandhan in House of Lords, Hosted by Baroness Verma. We were honoured by the presence of Baroness Goldie-Minister of State at MoD, The Lord Speaker-The Rt Hon the Lord McFall of Alcluith and other Hindu dignitaries.
