We fully support the themes from Comisiynydd Plant | Children's Commissioner Wales 'No Wrong Door'. Some very important message from young people on the confusion, playing the waiting game and not knowing where to turn. All demonstrating why we need to prioritise young people's mental health & wellbeing.

Reported rises in children going into care homes is deeply concerning. We have to do more to support children and families through this pandemic or the consequences will be devastating

What would the care system look like if local authorities ACTUALLY behaved like parents? Like, as if they were your own child? 🤔

This is why I think maximising children’s time in school is so vital.

Keith Bishop I'd settle for them being able to meet the spirit & letter of all child care legislation & recommendations brought in since the 50's. That would at least be a start.

On 5th Feb the #CareReview published its conclusions & made a promise to children & families in & on the edges of the ‘care system’. It wouldn't have got there without the thousands who shared experiences to shape its conclusions. The #CareReview formally closes on 30th June

The #CareReview listened to what care experienced people said must change & produced a radical blueprint for how our country should love, nurture and cherish its children. It also made a promise to our children that words would become actions.

Totally agree with all points in this thread. The parallels with social work reform are striking. The interconnectedness of education and social care reform is barely explored, yet they have numerous key players and relationships in common.
