80% of today's delicious lunch was made from food that was Surplus To Purpose and the money that we saved is going to the charity, Gloucester Feed the Hungry. #GoodFoodWeek #KingsSchoolCommunity @Thomas_Franks_

The theme of today's chapel was feeding others and food poverty. Sixth Form | The King’s School pupils cooked 120 meals which will be delivered to Gloucester Feed the Hungry Hash Norat tomorrow. Food writer Josephine Murray gave a talk on #careers in the #food industry #GoodFoodWeek

As part of our Good Food Festival, the Junior School have been competing in a food waste challenge. Every pupil and member of staff scrapes their plate into the box for their house and the waste is weighed each day. At the end of the week, we will have a winner! #GoodFoodWeek

On day 3 of #GoodFoodWeek we celebrated seasonal food. Thanks to BenCreeseCountryButchers & @Worc_Prod for supplying tastings & to @Thomas_Franks_ for the House Bushtucker Challenge which inc shakes made with meal worms, cricket trifle, ox tongue & scotch bonnet choc bomb - delicious! 😉

Sustainability was today's theme in #GoodFoodWeek: Junior pupils made healthy fruit kebabs & continued to reduce lunch food waste; @devilskitchen23 & Eat Curious offered plant-based tastings at lunch & nutritionist Olivia Booker @Thomas_Franks_ talked about the future of food.

The final day in #GoodFoodWeek celebrated a week focussed on sustainability, food poverty & food waste & highlights inc the House bake-off & bushtucker trial. Thank you to @Thomas_Franks_ for their enthusiasm & expertise in making this week - the first of it's kind - a success🎉
