UNFORTUNATELY, #lazcon has STOPPED his walk across America. Yesterday, he made it to his parents' graves. In the increasing heat, it became an obsession. Today, on to Foyil, Oklahoma, where his father grew up. A fitting end. Lazarus Lake, at 69, walked 1,700 miles. 📷 Laz

To greet old man #lazcon as he finished was the family of Andy Payne. They showed up in a hearse! Payne, a local Cherokee from Foyil, won the first race across America in 1928.

Kristian Morgan has stopped his Appalachian Trail FKT attempt just days from the finish. Ahead of record pace for nearly 40 days & 2K miles, I can't imagine the difficulty. What an incredible performance from someone we can all look to for inspiration when things get tough.
