Twitch does NOT force mid-roll ads on viewers. Affiliate & Partnered Streamers decide to opt into or out of running mid-roll ads on their channel. This is the streamers choice. Pre-roll ads work differently and cannot be turned off but can be temporarily disabled.

This this this. I've seen so many streamers say "I'll just run an ads now to get them out of the way to stop Twitch running them". Streamers decide if mid rolls will be present or not. If you run mid-rolls, try to manage it better rather than just saying "twitch is making me".
