My life is nearly one track, I go from caring for animals and doing venom work to going home and caring for virtual animals in Planet Zoo , I think there is a trend. Or I need a new hobby

Super happy to say today I started my PhD under Michel Dugon and Pathogenic Mechanisms Research Group - Boyd lab For the next 4 years I'll be looking at scorpions and their antimicrobial potential to put it briefly. My dream is finally coming true.

Four years and several months of hard work and a pandemic later, I have finally made it to the end, thesis in hand!📗🐍🕷️🥳 A big thank you to everyone who helped along the way, especially my supervisors Kevin Healy and Michel Dugon and the IRC We are now Research Ireland for funding my work.
I got to give my first talk regarding my PhD work and I got to do it at one of the fun Pint of Science IE nights in Galway. Lots of nice questions asked and people got to meet my little friend in the scorpion I brought.
