Mars taken a few days ago in fairly steady conditions. It's getting smaller day by day now, but I was quite pleased with the details I could catch Syrtis Major is just turning onto the earth facing disk on the left. The bright patch right of centre is the Elysium plain

Jupiter on 2nd March in good seeing. I think this is one of the best images I've taken of Jupiter. Some detail inside the Great Red Spot is visible, which I don't think I've captured before. Just shows the difference good seeing can make #astrophotography

IC 1805 The Heart Nebula captured from my patio on two nights last month πŸ˜ŠπŸ” This was shot on the EdgeHD 8 with Hyperstar at f/2 for a total integration time of about 10 hours in Mono using narrowband filters and combined with OSC data for the stars. #Astrophotography

The Moon taken on Tuesday evening in fairly average seeing conditions. This is a mosaic of 3 images taken with my 8" SCT from the backyard #astrophotography

5 years ago today the schools closed. We went home not knowing when they would fully open again. The way schools managed that period of distress and uncertainty was incredible and i don't think education has ever truly received the credit it deserves for that action.

Mars imaged last night. At only a little over 9 arcsecs, details are getting harder to capture with my 8" scope. That said, correlation of image features with the Winjupos sim for the capture time is pleasing. #astrophotography

Another full solar disk image from yesterday. This one is taken in hydrogen alpha light and is a 19 panel mosaic due to the tiny field of view through the Quark filter
