.MontgomeryCo(MD)Fire was dispatched today(802am) to Viers Mill Rd/Newport Mill Rd(Silver Spring) for a collision involving a motorcyclist. 3 injured-Motorcyclist transported with life threatening injuries to trauma hospital. 2 with NLT injuries trans to area hospital. MCPD diverting traffic.

Earlier today(1033am), MontgomeryCo(MD)Fire was dispatched to 14000blk of Fiske Dr for a vehicle that struck a building. Crews arrived to find driver struck a building and a car but was not injured and declined transport to the hospital. Driver released to MCPD. Pete Piringer

Earlier today @1133, MontgomeryCo(MD)Fire responded to the 2700blk of Urbana Dr(Silver Spring) for a broken outside water main break. Crews found a 12 inch water main break with undermining the the ground and some homes declaring their basement is flooded. WSSC on scene and traffic diverted.

Today MontgomeryCo(MD)Fire members of Silver Spring Fire Stations 1 and 16 + Takoma Park Fire Station 2, trained at 8601 Manchester Rd. Residents were given a first hand look at on how we advance fire hose through a residential apartment bldg to quickly improve their safety. Pete Piringer

.MontgomeryCo(MD)Fire members of Fire Station 9/Hyattstown trained on drafting water from a static water source at 13910 Lewisdale Rd/Little Bennett Golf Course. In some cases, where no hydrants are available, water is drafted to another unit or Tanker so they can carry that water to a fire.

Earlier today(754am) MontgomeryCo(MD)Fire was dispatched to N270 prior to Dr. Perry, for a collision involving a tractor trailer and sedan. 1 adult driver in sedan and 2 adult passengers in tractor self extricated and transported with non-life threatening injuries. Pete Piringer
