'Woke' = Basic Human Decency.

The latter is an old-fashioned term that's fallen into disuse. But push back on right-wing parrots about what 'woke' means, they hem and haw about 'cancel culture' (otherwise known as 'shaming'). They don't like being shamed for being shitty people.
