The reason I'm in London is to look at these. Samuel Palmer's spectacles. These were his good pair, silver framed. Not sure of the prescription, but I'd say his eyesight was better than Blake's! #samuelpalmer The Blake Society

Here's why Palmer needed specs! The Lonely Tower and detail of the sky. Such a privilege to see various versions of this in the Prints and Drawings Study Room at the V&A. #samuelpalmer

And these are (some of) the tools Palmer used to create the etchings. I got to handle them yesterday in the V&A, such a privilege!

My last ecopoetry and place workshop at Castlefield Viaduct was so well received we decided to run it again. We will look at poetry from Zaffar Kunial, think about naming & other-than-human beings, & the intersection between industry & nature 🌿🏭 nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/cheshire…

Really pleased to have my poem Epiphany included in Where Meadows issue 2.2. It's about a magic stone I found. Sort of. Here's a picture with some Magic Rock beer. Poem here: wheremeadows.com/issue22

Back in the archive today, working on the Arts Council England funded project on Jacquetta Hawkes. When I was in London last week I visited the house in which she wrote the majority of her poetry, along with A Land and several other books.
